Last two homes remaining at Hemlingford Mill, Kingsbury

Following a recent flurry in sales activity, developer Walton Homes has announced that there are just two homes remaining at its Hemlingford Mill scheme in the village of Kingsbury.
Walton reports that the picturesque apartments are especially popular with downsizers seeking to de-clutter their lives and move to a more manageable sized property; offering smaller or no mortgage repayments and lower utility bills.
Helen Rollason, sales manager for Walton Homes comments: “Downsizers from the local area have really fallen for the collection of historic and character-rich homes at our Hemlingford Mill development. The modern layouts and contemporary design of the apartments are attracting people wishing to live in a beautiful environment where they can streamline their lives, have more free time, with less furnishings and knick knacks to dust and fewer rooms to vacuum.
“Often looking for a more relaxing lifestyle, business people and couples who visit the development always comment on the stunning views from the apartments at Hemlingford Mill, which provide the perfect escape from the daily grind. With no maintenance work to do themselves, the homes offer the perfect combination of beautiful surroundings without the responsibility.”
Both two bedroom apartments which are available fully furnished for sale, each have allocated parking spaces and are priced at £149,950. The Avon apartment is Walton’s Star Buy, having been reduced from £157,000. As a special incentive, Walton will also gift the purchaser five per cent of the value of the property towards their deposit at the time of completion.
Helen Rollason continued: “The remaining two properties are both second floor apartments, boasting stunning views of the River Tame and Kingsbury Water Park. The light and airy second bedroom and kitchen overlook the river, whilst the master bedroom has beautiful views of the landscaped grounds at the development, including the picturesque bridge and mill pond, which looks like something straight out of a holiday brochure!
“Following the recent high demand at Hemlingford Mill, I would encourage anyone interested in these last two remaining properties to contact the sales team and arrange a viewing as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. I am very much looking forward to welcoming the final new home-owners to this stunning development.”
The three-storey Mill building at Hemlingford Mill dates back to the 1086 Doomsday survey and it was originally used to grind the flour for the local market. Its biggest claim to fame is that it was given to Lady Godiva as a gift from her husband, after her notorious horseback ride through Coventry. The Mill was then seized by William the Conqueror and it eventually formed part of an arms factory for the Napoleonic and First World Wars.
