Land acquired by Taylor Wimpey in Heywood
Taylor Wimpey Manchester has acquired planning permission to build 125 houses on land off Green Lane in Heywood.
Named The Vistas, the development is due to open in November and will have two and three bedroom mews homes, three bedroom semi-detached homes and four bedroom townhouses and detached homes.
The homes are expected to appeal to first time buyers, families and downsizers.
The Government’s FirstBuy scheme, which supports first time buyers who could not otherwise afford the large deposits now required by mortgage lenders, is available at The Vistas.
Due to limited availability of the scheme, Taylor Wimpey Manchester is advising interested parties to register their interest early to avoid disappointment.
FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the 25 year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earnings should be less than £60,000.
The development is ideally placed for travels to Manchester and Yorkshire, thanks to the close access to the M60 and M62 motorways.
Anthony Mansfield, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, commented: “We’re really looking forward to opening The Vistas after the success of our previous Heywood development, Hey Mount.
“This is a lovely area and is well-suited to both first time buyers and families, thanks to the great transport links, proximity to Manchester city centre, useful local amenities and the wide selection of homes we are offering.”
