Moneysupermarket launches new local deals section
MoneySupermarket, the UK's number one price comparison website, has launched its new ‘MoneySupermarket Local Deals' section, offering consumers huge discounts of up to 90 per cent on a range of products and experiences in major cities across the UK.
Following successful trials in Brighton, Chester and Oxford, MoneySupermarket Local Deals celebrates its official launch today by adding London, Liverpool, Bath and Manchester to its network, before continuing to roll-out to other cities during the autumn.
As well as offering discounts on premium experiences and products in customers' local area, MoneySupermarket Local Deals will also feature national offers with some of the biggest brands around.
A recent survey conducted by MoneySupermarket found that one in five people have made a purchase through a daily or local deals service. When asked what attracted them to buy a deal, price came out on top (59 per cent), closely followed by the saving (49 per cent).
Locality was also an important factor for a third of people (31 per cent), whilst more than a quarter made a purchase because they wanted to treat themselves (28 per cent). One in five people said that their last purchase was for something they felt they couldn't previously afford.
