Homebuyers have been rushing to snap up one of Crest Nicholson’s luxury four bedroom, five storey villas in Port Marine, Portishead - with eight of the nine stylish waterside properties already sold - despite not being completely built yet.

The developer, which has been building quality homes in Port Marine for more than ten years, is extremely pleased with the positive response to its latest phase, The Moorings.

Each of the nine luxury four bedroom villas at the beautiful Marina offers spacious living accommodation, including a kitchen/ dining room with a centre island, a master bedroom en suite with fabulous wet room and double shower, in addition to a top floor sun room and roof terrace.

Laura Osborne, Sales Manager for Crest Nicholson, commented: “We’ve had an overwhelming response to our luxury villas at Port Marine, partly owing to our longstanding reputation for building quality homes, having been in the business for more than 50 years.

“There really is nothing to rival the villas on the market at Port Marine at the moment. The area is such an aspirational place in which to live, with our stylish villas offering luxury living and one of the best addresses in town. We would urge homebuyers to act quickly if they want to secure the one remaining villa at The Moorings.”

One couple who fell in love with the villas despite it not being completely built yet were Mr and Mrs Morgan. They had bought off-plan before, when they purchased a townhouse for their daughter a few years ago at the original phase of the Dockside development, so they were confident about the high specification that comes with buying a Crest Nicholson property.

Mrs Morgan commented: “We were really excited when we heard about the latest development at The Moorings, as we’d wanted to move to the area to be closer to our daughter and grandchild. We saw that the villas were selling fast, so we wanted to make an offer as soon as possible, as we wanted to buy a plot in the centre of the marina and didn’t want to miss out.

“Our old house was a 1950s bungalow, which we’d expanded to create a six bedroom house, so we were looking for a spacious property, which we could live comfortably in and have enough room for accommodating our family when they visited. In particular, we love the master bedroom, sun terrace and layout of the spacious kitchen on the ground floor. We can’t wait to finally see the property when it’s completed and then move in!”

New build homes are becoming increasingly popular with very low maintenance costs and no surprises or hidden extra expenses that are often associated with modernising an older property. What’s more, Crest Nicholson prides itself on building energy-efficient homes, meaning that they are much cheaper to live in with lower heating bills, whilst helping to reduce the impact on the environment.

The Moorings has everything that homebuyers might desire, being perfectly situated to take advantage of all the new bars and restaurants that Port Marine has to offer, as well water sport facilities and good commuter links.

The development also includes an eclectic seven storey building, comprising 31 contemporary two bedroom open-plan apartments, meaning there really is something for all types of buyer, no matter how small or large their budget. There are only three of these apartments remaining, so potential buyers must move quickly if they want to enjoy stylish waterside living at The Moorings.

Apartments are available from £177,000, with the last villa available from £590,000. For more information, visit portmarine.co.uk.
