The Earl of Sandwich announces new delivery service

London’s first Earl of Sandwich opened on Ludgate Hill in April 2011, bringing to the Capital the World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich. Now, the Earl is on the move, feeding London’s workforce with its renowned take on the UK’s most loved snack.

For the convenience of the Capital’s hungry workers, the World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich can now be ordered and enjoyed without having to leave the desk – thanks to the Earl of Sandwich’s new delivery service. Ravenous office staff needs just to email ludgatedeliveries[at]earlofsandwich.co.uk.

In 1762 John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich, invented the Sandwich while away at sea with the British Navy. The Hot Sandwich now served at Earl of Sandwich takes the simple concept to another level. They don’t serve mere sandwiches. The sandwiches are made-to-order, using top quality, fresh ingredients and served on artisan baked bread, made from a secret recipe.

For businesses within a one mile radius of their Ludgate Hill shop, The Earl of Sandwich’s wide ranging delivery menu is perfect for both breakfast and lunch meetings. Tasty breakfast sandwiches include Egg & Cheddar, Breakfast BLT and Ham & Swiss with sides available like porridge and fresh fruit salad.

For lunch there are 13 hot sandwiches available, all priced at £4.75. The range includes: THE ORIGINAL 1762 (Freshly Roasted Beef, Sharp Cheddar Cheese & Creamy Horseradish Sauce) and THE FULL MONTAGU (Freshly Roasted Beef, Turkey, Aged Swiss & Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Roma Tomatoes & Earl’s Mustard Sauce). Also available for lunch are Chicken Caesar and Mediterranean Tuna Salads amongst others which can all be delivered along with sides and drinks.

For those with a sweet tooth customers can order a dessert to be delivered to the office alongside their lunch such as Jelly, Chocolate Brownie or Bread Pudding.

Earl of Sandwich is open Monday to Friday 7am – 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 4pm. Orders can be made via telephone, email, fax or customers can pop in store. Delivery is subject to a minimum order of £50 and 24 hours notice for orders is preferred. Earl of Sandwich is able to deliver between 7am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm. As well as delivery in the capital, the restaurant offers both take-away and eat-in service, with seating for 40 customers available.
