Kumo sushi and cocktail bar in Knightsbridge

Recently opened Japanese sushi and cocktail bar, Kumo is set in the heart of Knightsbridge on the iconic Beauchamp Place. Kumo serves unrivaled Japanese cuisine and a fantastic range of cocktails catering to all tastes. The menu is a delicate mix of traditional Japanese with a modern and sophisticated twist.
 
From the moment you descend the red oak staircase into the venue you are transported nto a world of glamour. The bar area features a decadent red leather padded bar with raised black lacquered tables and stools, all softly lit by a stunning pyramid ceiling. The dining area is a mixture of traditional and modern Japanese with striking large ornamental gold disks lining the walls, low-slung tables, black banquets and candles creating a seductive ambience. 

Kumo serves exceptional Japanese dishes created by head chef Yuka Aoyama (formerly of Nobu) and was in fact nominated in the UK Sushi Challenge awards. Dishes include Avocado, Tobiko and Crab Salad with Wasabi Mayonnaise, Hibatchi Sea Bass Fillet with Wakame and Harusame Sauce and Warm Beef Sukiyaki Salad with Lemongrass and Sweet Basil. A selection of delicious sushi and meat sharing platters are also available, making Kumo the perfect destination for group dinners.

Award-winning cocktail impresario Douglas Ankrah has created a sublime Japanese influenced cocktail list at Kumo. Cocktails cater to both the exotic and traditional and include signature cocktails such as the Passion Hikaru, the Kumo Ku and theJapanese Ice Tea.

Kumo is the ideal destination for events and was recently nominated for Best Boutique Bar in the London Club and Bar Awards, with a capacity for 150 people it works perfectly for both corporate and private hire.
