School trips are the most popular entry route to skiing

In a recent YouGov survey it has been revealed that 34% of all respondents had their first skiing/ snowboarding experience on a school trip; higher than any other entrance group to hitting the slopes. SkiBound, the school ski trip operator, posed the question via a YouGov survey that went to 2,000 British adults in November 2011. The results showed school trips to be the gateway to skiing for the largest portion of skiers but particularly for males, people outside of London and those from lower socio-economic groups.
