JVC signs up to Trafficmaster’s real time RDS TMS traffic service

In a new contract Trafficmaster Plc, the intelligent driving services provider, will be providing real time traffic information to JVC, a leading provider of satellite navigation systems.

JVC will be adding Trafficmaster’s Traffic Message Channel (TMC) service to its portable KV-PX70. This service will be sent to a built-in TMC receiver and will automatically alert drivers to traffic problems ahead.

JVC chose Trafficmaster’s traffic data above other TMC suppliers, because the information proved to be the most accurate, reliable and immediate. Trafficmaster’s data comes form its fixed network of 7,500 roadside sensors located on the UK’s motorways and trunk roads. In addition Trafficmaster has a partnership with Transport for London, which allows it to source live traffic data from the congestion charging cameras in the centre of London.
