Tyresure Absolute Pressure Gauge - Perfectly precise pressure

Tyresure, Europe’s market-leading Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has released another incredibly useful tool for tyrebays, dealerships and workshops; a precisely calibrated tyre pressure gauge that measures absolute, not atmospheric pressure.

Even the most accurate of professional workshop gauges measures atmospheric pressure. This means that at sea level, 30 PSI in the tyre will show 30PSI on the gauge. Move to a location that’s higher or lower however, and this situation changes significantly. A tyre inflated at a few hundred metres above sea level may show 30 PSI on the gauge but will actually have an absolute pressure reading somewhere in the 20s in the tyre itself. Similarly, a tyre inflated below sea level will have an absolute pressure somewhat higher than the indicated reading. Changes in ambient weather conditions can also have a notable effect on recorded pressure and can sway the reading by up to 15% either way.

This is important because TPMS sensors measure in absolute pressure too, meaning that unless the car is being maintained at a venue that is precisely at sea level, it will be impossible to inflate a tyre accurately to a pressure that is matched by the more accurate internal sensors. The ATEQ gauge solves this problem by using the same technology and methods of measurement, meaning that whatever is shown on the gauge is precisely the figure being read by the tyre’s internal sensors, making for quick and accurate set-up and servicing - an accuracy of +/- 1.4 PSI across the gauge’s full working range, in fact.

The design features of the Tyresure gauge also make it an essential addition to any workshop, even those not yet looking to service TPMS-equipped vehicles. The extra-large LCD display is exceptionally easy to read and can be switched quickly between Bar, PSI and Kpa units. The durable rubber protector means it can take the rough and tumble of a working workshop and the deflation button allows for quick and easy instant pressure adjustment. For the ultimate in convenience, the gauge also powers up and down automatically to prolong battery life.Despite these superb features and abilities, the Tyresure Absolute Pressure gauge costs just £65.00 + VAT. An essential tool for every workshop.
