FirstBuy event to help Malvern househunters

Determined to make 2012 the year you step on the property ladder but are concerned that you don’t have enough funds to do so? Heard the word FirstBuy but don’t completely understand what the new home moving scheme is all about?
If so, you need to make sure you attend the FirstBuy event at premium homebuilder Charles Church’s Malvern Vale development on Leigh Sinton Road in Malvern, on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December.
Independent financial advisers will be on hand from 10.30am until 5.30pm over the two days to discuss finances, a mortgage specialist will be available to advise on options and Charles Church’s experienced sales advisers will be able to answer questions about the recently launched, Government-supported FirstBuy scheme. Plus a HomeBuy agent will be available on the Sunday to discuss buying options.
Alison Reading, sales director for Charles Church South Midlands, is confident the event will help local househunters. She said: “Those who have never bought before, or for a long time, may be unfamiliar with the jargon that’s associated with buying property and may feel the whole process is something of a minefield.
“However, with our help, we can prove that it’s not as complicated as first imagined. Anyone who is looking to take their first, or subsequent, step on the property ladder should definitely pay a visit to the event at Malvern Vale and have a chat with our sales advisers.”
FirstBuy is offered through equity loan funding of up to 20 per cent of the purchase price split equally between the Homes and Communities Agency and Charles Church, with purchasers being required to raise funding (a mortgage plus deposit) of at least 80 per cent of the purchase price.
Through the scheme, properties are available for as little as £126,396 for a two bedroom mid-terraced housetype. Alternative houses are available including a selection of three and four bedroom homes.
Malvern Vale offers first class properties in a stunning location. Set in a valley, the development is overlooked by the Malvern Hills at the side of open countryside. Malvern Link is only a mile from the development, with local shops and amenities, and the spa town of Malvern is a short drive away.
Commuters can leave the car at home and walk to two train stations – Great Malvern and Malvern Link – with trains reaching Birmingham New Street in one hour.
