Supersprint exhaust system for Seat Ibiza TSI FR

The Supersprint research and development team have gone to great lengths to ensure the exhaust system they have built for the SEAT Ibiza FR 1.4 TSI offers the best performance gain, lowest exhaust gas temperatures, best sound and with all this, the added advantage of a weight saving compared with the stock exhaust components.

The 1.4 TSI engine is a rather complex unit. To build an exhaust system to match the characteristics of a turbocharged and supercharged engine, Supersprint tested several different diameters and configurations. Unlike other exhaust manufacturers, Supersprint do not merely copy a stock exhaust design and make the diameter larger and then add a shiny tail pipe. They have the knowledge and experience needed to craft an exhaust to perfectly match the engine. After countless hours in their own dyno the 1.4 twin charger system was born.

The catalyst on the stock exhaust system is in the turbo downpipe. Supersprint quickly discovered that this wasn't the ideal place to put their HJS metallic catalyst, so they constructed a system which makes room for the HJS cat underneath the car. This drastically decreased the exhaust gas temperature and improved exhaust gas flow, resulting in much more power and torque.

The cat-back system can use a silenced or un-silenced centre section and the rear silencer is finished off with either a 145 x 95mm oval, or a twin 80mm round tail pipe.
