Notting Hill’s beloved Spanish restaurant El Pirata Detapas has introduced two tempting Christmas menus to celebrate the festive season. Enjoy an alternative Christmas this year and soak up the elegant atmosphere while sampling a Spanish feast. The menus have been designed using classic Spanish ingredients to create authentic dishes that will transport diners to the heart of Spain.

The Spanish Christmas feast begins with traditional Bread & Ali Oli and Salmon Carpaccio. Mains include seafood dishes such as pan fried Cod Vizcaina with tomatoes, nora peppers and cabbage and Prawn Garlic with parsley, chilli and carrot puree, all accompanied with seasonal vegetables. An impressive six hour roasted Pork Belly with red wine pear and parsnip puree can be found on the menu served alongside fried new potatoes, mojo picon & mojo verde sauces and Mushroom Rissotto with socarrat. For dessert, Torrijas (Spanish Bread Pudding) will be served. This tempting menu is now available for just £22 per person for both lunch and dinner. A vegetarian menu is also offered, serving Spanish favourites such as Piquillo Pepper and Idiazabal Cheese Croquettes and Grilled Asparagus and Manchego Cheese.

For those wanting a festive lunch then El Pirata Detapas’ Christmas Lunch menu is the perfect way to sample the taste of Spain with a group of friends. Dishes include a Mixed Leaf Salad with machego cheese, pine nuts and beetroot, pan fried Cod Salfina with aubergines and tomatoes and delicious Pork Cheeks served with red wine shallot and carrot puree. The menu, available for a minimum of six people at £15 per head, is best enjoyed with one of the Spanish wine’s that can be found on the restaurant’s extensive wine list.

El Pirata Detapas, featured in Gordon Ramsay's ‘Best Restaurant’ TV show on Channel 4 last year, is renowned for its traditional Spanish dishes cooked with a contemporary flair. Celebrities such as Jude Law, Sienna Miller, Noel Gallagher and Rachel Stevens, to name a few, enjoy this neighbourhood favourite, which serves a range of exciting dishes that truly highlight El Pirata Detapas’ skill and attention to detail. The private dining room at the restaurant, complete with hanging hams, can hold up to 30 guests, ideal for Christmas parties.

This year, celebrate Christmas at El Pirata Detapas and enjoy the alluring taste that Spain has to offer.
