The first residents of Earl’s Park in Worcester can enjoy a festive family feast thanks to Redrow and Checketts.

Specially prepared baskets of goodies from Checketts of Ombersley were presented to two sets of Redrow customers who moved into the development before Christmas.

The goodwill gesture follows the success of the Redrow Builder’s Banger, created by Checketts of Ombersley for British Sausage Week.

Along with the Redrow speciality sausage, the hamper contains Worcestershire Free Range Turkey, chestnut stuffing, locally prepared cheese and other local produce.

Phil Checketts, grandson of the original business founder Thomas G Checketts, said: “Many people who are moving home will have run down their fridge freezers and store cupboards beforehand so one of our hampers is the ideal house warming gift. We hope that the residents of Earl’s Park enjoy their first taste of our produce and go on to become loyal customers. We feel this gives them an introduction to some of the wonderful local produce available across the county.”

Properties currently giving home buyers food for thought at Earl’s Park include three, four and five-bedroom homes, with prices from £229,995.

Their well equipped kitchens boast integrated appliances including microwave, oven and fridge freezer, plus floor to ceiling units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage space.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “Our kitchens are stylish and practical and thanks to the gift of the Checketts hampers, the Fellows and Mansell families have all the ingredients they need to cook up a festive family feast using the very best local ingredients.”
