Milltek Sport launches 2012 race and show season in style at ASI
Market leading exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport looks set to have a superb year ahead with a raft of exciting new sponsorship deals, fitments and of course, continued investment in its UK factory.
Ever committed to British motorsport, Milltek has signed up to be a series sponsor of the increasingly popular MSA UK Time Attack series. The three year agreement sees Milltek become the ‘Official Exhaust of Time Attack’ for a minimum of three years, with a valuable two-way flow of technical information flowing between top teams and Milltek’s own engineers. In a series where ‘road’ cars often boast F1 power levels, this is great news for all parties.
As a tip of its hats to its rapidly burgeoning VAG client base, Milltek has also signed up as a series sponsor for the SuperPro VAG Trophy. With several exciting new developments happening in this packed series in 2012, including the addition of the long-awaited Mk4 class, expect to see full grids and epic battles throughout the season.
With an eye on balancing environmental responsibility with ultimate performance, Milltek will also be exhibiting the first ‘Ultra Light’ catalyst to be shown in the UK. Launched as an elegant solution for those looking to up the performance ante, without falling foul of legality, this exciting new product will soon be an integral part of the Milltek performance exhaust range.
Racers will also want to take a look at Milltek’s exclusive range of HJS Motorsport catalysts. This fully FIA approved range has been a phenomenal sales success in 2011, more than doubling the sales figures from the preceding year. With so many series now listing cats as a mandatory fitment, the HJS range offers the perfect balance between regulation conformity and class-leading power gains.
As with previous outings, Milltek and its technical partners will also be exhibiting some of the most exciting road cars at the show. As well as its own Audi RS3 development vehicle, guests can also expect to see a fully sorted Golf R and hugely tuned Nissan GT-R, showing why Milltek is the first choice of the world’s leading tuners. The RS3 is a particularly noteworthy car, showcasing Milltek’s latest ultra-low back pressure system, alongside its new active valve technology.
