Spring Summer fashion trends from House of Fraser

This season House of Fraser has seven key trends. The overall feel of the collections is fresh, clean and modern with directional pieces from Private Label brands like Mary Portas, Therapy and Biba. SS12 sees the addition of premium brands like Acne, Current/Elliott, Twenty8Twelve and Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania making House of Fraser a true cornucopia of style.

Zen Garden is a strong trend that mixes a taste of the orient with eye popping colours and intriguing floral prints. Minimal details give this trend an exotic modern look that can be worn day to night.

Perfect for the fun fearless female Wild Child is a combination of edgy tie-dye floral prints, macramé accessories and easy to wear fringing. This laid back summer look is for the modern day adventurer.

She Loved Gatsby has the perfect combination of playful patterns and ladylike accessories. This fun, flirty way of dressing has a very British colour palate with more than just a nod to The Roaring Twenties. Conversational prints play an important part in the look from red-ripe cherries to nautical lifesavers and boats.

Mixing luxurious sportswear pieces with soft tailoring, New Edge mirrors the athletic looks seen at the SS12 shows. The detail lies in the textures of the fabrics; perforated suede, draped cotton and metallic satins are mixed with soft pastels to create a pared down summer look with an androgynous twist.

Studio 54 is all about a brilliant white colour palette. Tailoring, inspired by the first tuxedos of the late 60s and early 70s, is accented with luxurious leather and animal prints. Inspired by vintage Halston and the opulence of Studio 54, this trend has a chic eveningwear feel.

Intricate lace detail and Chinese inspired blue and white prints combine to create Porcelain.  Broderie Anglaise and detailed lace and adorn a bohemian silhouette creating a simple ultra feminine look.

Animal print makes a bold statement and is accented with exotic spice tones in Parekeet, a relaxed day wear trend. With a base of rich earthy tones this look is accessorised with worn leather and canvas and is perfect for the urban intrepid traveller.
