A new arrival at Cotton Mills

24th January 2012 Print

Baby Angel is the first of many new arrivals at Taylor Wimpey’s Hyde development Cotton Mills. Darren Mawn and Abigail Torkington welcomed her into the world just three months after moving into their new three bedroom Dalford house at the development.

Whilst living with Abigail’s mum, the couple found out they were expecting a baby and began looking for a house of their own. They decided to use Taylor Wimpey’s Easystart scheme, which enabled them to move into a brand new home while remaining close to the rest of their family.

Abigail said “When we found out we were going to have a baby we decided it was time for us to get our own place to live. We chose the house because it was one of the nicest houses, and it was affordable. The Easystart scheme offered by Taylor Wimpey made it easy for us to get on the property ladder.

“We have been ready for Angel to arrive for a while now, moving into a brand new property made everything so much simpler and we have even had the nursery ready for over a month.”

The Easystart shared equity scheme allows buyers to purchase 100% of their dream home for just 85% of the price, on selected properties up to £170,000. The other 15 per cent is offered by the housebuilder as an interest free loan to be repaid within 10 years.

Situated off Ashton Road, the luxury Cotton Mills development will eventually include 143 houses – all with allocated parking - and a stylish, fully-dressed show home is available to view.

Situated close to the beautiful Peak District countryside and offering easy access to the M67 motorway, Hyde boasts a good range of local shops and nightlife.

Currently available at Cotton Mills is a range of two, three and four bedroom homes, with prices from £111,995 with the FirstBuy scheme.
