Skiing in Val d’Isere - save up to 50 per cent on ski hire

8th February 2012 Print

Val d’Isere specialist Ski-Val has negotiated a great deal on ski hire in the resort when booked in conjunction with its chalet holidays.

The deal is available to skiers booking remaining weeks at any of the company’s ski chalets in Val d’Isere.

“We’ve worked with Jock and Susan Dunn at Snowberry for years and there’s a very good reason why they were voted best ski shop in Europe,” says Ski-Val’s managing director Jackie Harris.

“Our guests can be sure of hiring their favourite make and model from the current season’s range and benefit from a great personalised service, getting picked up from their chalet for fitting, storing skis at the shop, plus there’s no need to return skis at the end of the week because Snowberry pick them up from the chalet!”

With Ski-Val’s fantastic discount deals saving up to 50 per cent, a week’s hire of top-of-the-range skis or snowboard starts at just €126 while hire of budget equipment is reduced to an amazing €39.

Ski-Val holidays in Val d’Isere now start at £499 per person for a week at the chalet-hotel The Chamois d’Or, a Savoyarde chalet-hotel landmark at the foot of Le Face run on Bellevarde, which provides skiing from the front door and 23 en-suite rooms to sleep from two to four people. There’s a resident Ski-Val team, a bar, restaurant, lounge and terrace and a friendly atmosphere.

Alternatively, Casa Rivas is a standalone chalet only 200 metres from the resort’s Bellevarde lifts.  The master bedroom is a virtual suite thanks to its own sitting area, fireplace and balcony, while all rooms (the chalet sleeps 10) have a spa bath en-suite and there’s a roaring log fire in the light open-plan living area, which opens onto a terrace.  A week before the end of the season costs from £699 per person.

All Ski-Val packages are based on two sharing a room, and include return flights from Gatwick, transfers and chalet-board arrangements providing a hearty breakfast and afternoon tea each day, and dinner with wine on six evenings.
