Historic European sales results crown a positive year
Mazda Motor Europe celebrates setting two historic sales records for the brand in March. Brisk sales during the last quarter of its two newest models – the recently-crowned World Car of the Year Mazda2, and the new Mazda6 – pushed retails sales during the last 12 months (April07 through March08) to a record 327,000 units.

All-new Mazda2 wins 2008 World Car of the Year Award
From an initial entry list of thirty-nine (39) new vehicles from all over the world, the 2008 WCOTY title was announced on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the New York International Auto Show. The Mazda2 edged out the Ford Mondeo and Mercedes-Benz C-Class to take the overall award.
