MINI Convertible takes a walk on the style side
MINI will be unveiling a new addition to its Convertible range at the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), when it presents the Sidewalk model for the first time on 6 January in Detroit.
New MINI on sale
The new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S go on sale from this weekend. All 154 UK MINI dealerships are holding launch events to unveil the new car, but many customers will have to wait until the New Year to own one. The order books are almost full for 2006. Approximately 4000 orders have been taken for the new car, equalling the number achieved in the lead up to the launch of the first generation new MINI in July 2001.
Ultimate Autumn drives: revealed
As we finally bid farewell to Britain’s longest ever summer, MINI is advising Convertible drivers to keep their roofs down and experience the nation’s ten ultimate autumn drives. Hand-picked from the mainland’s 241,000-mile road network, the 15-mile stretch of the A466 through the Forest of Dean, in the Wye Valley has been voted top of the pile.
US sends Hunsucker to inaugural transatlantic Mini Challenge
On Sunday, October 22, Donington Park will see Waylen Hunsucker, America’s fastest MINI driver go head-to-head with the UK’s elite in the final rounds of the 2006 UK MINI Challenge, the first of two transatlantic MINI face-offs.
The new MINI: world premiere in Paris
The new MINI receives its world debut today at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris, Europe’s biggest motor show of the year. The global unveiling previews the new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S, which go on sale in the UK on Saturday 18 November 2006. The all-new MINI features a completely new body design, a striking modern interior and brand new performance engines with lower fuel consumption and significantly reduced emissions.
New MINI boosts UK motor industry
The new MINI will be produced in Oxford with a 20 per cent expansion in capacity to 240,000 cars a year as part of a £200 million UK investment by BMW Group, which will also create 450 new jobs, it was announced today.

First UK MINI GP owner at Motor Show
Paul Baker, the first UK MINI GP customer, collected the keys to his dream car from Mike Cooper. Mr Baker had registered his interest with local dealer, North Oxford Garage, when the first rumours of the fastest production MINI started to appear in January 2005; nine months before the car was officially announced.

The MINI GP has sold out in the UK before a single customer has driven the car and extra allocation of the exclusive 2000 models being built for the globe has been secured. The MINI Cooper S with John Cooper Works GP Kit was announced in October 2005, and only 444 UK customers were given the chance to own one from July 2006.
MINI Odyssey
Three MINI Cooper S hatches completed the final leg of a 49-day, thrill-a-minute adventure yesterday. At the end of the 8,000-mile journey that took them from South Africa to England across 10 countries, they arrived at Plant Oxford, the home of MINI.
MINI Cooper S with JCW GP Kit – Going fast
The first MINI Cooper S with John Cooper Works (JCW) GP Kit (already dubbed the MINI GP) will be delivered in July. Only 444 of the 2000 being built are destined for the UK. Almost three quarters have already been ordered by MINI enthusiasts six months ahead of launch, and before the car has even been seen in its final guise.
