Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has built a new research vehicle, the Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) for a next-generation EV development project. The electric vehicle (EV) will be used for joint research programmes with power companies that have been working on the promotion of EVs. The power companies will conduct field tests, gather data and evaluate the commercial viability of the vehicle. MMC will provide power companies with EVs and analyse field test data collected by them.

Mitsubishi Motors UK’s sales success continues
Mitsubishi Motors UK has posted new vehicle sales of 10,111 units for quarter three, up 1% against last year, in a market that is down 2%. Mitsubishi is experiencing a significant new model transition period during which it has finished selling Space Star, Carisma and Shogun Pinin whilst Shogun, Shogun Sport and Outlander are all currently being phased out. Despite these changes, fresh products like the new L200 and Colt have ensured a strong sales performance.
Mitsubishi starts "Pajero Forest & Local Mountain Restoration Initiative"
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that it is taking the launch of new Pajero (also known as Shogun and Montero in other regions) as an opportunity to start an initiative; "Pajero Forest & Local Mountain Restoration Initiative", which aims at conserving and cultivating Japan's forests and woodlands the condition of which is deteriorating on a wide scale. The Initiative will be based in the town of Hayakawa-cho that lies in the foothills of the Southern Japanese Alps in Yamanashi Prefecture.
