BA to sell off Boeing 757 fleet

British Airways is to sell 11 of its 15 Boeing 757 aircraft for cargo conversion with the aircraft leaving the airline's mainline fleet between 2010-2012. Four Boeing 757s operated by the airline's subsidiary OpenSkies will remain in the fleet.

BA chief condemns flight tax increase

Alistair Darling should cancel planned tax increases of up to 112 per cent on flights from the UK, the chief executive of British Airways said today. Speaking on the eve of the Budget, Willie Walsh condemned the proposals, which could add £280 to the cost of a family holiday to the Caribbean or £360 to Australia.

BA pledge to cut net CO2 by 50 per cent by 2050
