Flybe launches world’s first aircraft eco-labelling

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, and which has invested over $2 billion in new, environmentally sensitive aircraft over the last two years, has become the first airline in the world to introduce an aircraft eco-labelling scheme. The scheme is in response to the Stern Report’s call for ‘labelling’ to help consumers and businesses make sound decisions.

Flybe commits to environmentally sensitive fleet

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has confirmed a US$788 million deal with Bombardier Aerospace that will see the airline acquire 15 Q400, 78-seat aircraft over the next two years, with an option for 15 more. The order will result in Flybe having a total of 60 Q400s, confirming the airline as the world’s largest operator of the aircraft.

Flybe launches new summer season flights

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, today launches its first flights of the summer season, bringing a total of 13 brand new routes to travellers in the UK to key domestic and European destinations. Routes are available for booking for travel throughout the summer at flybe.com.

Flybe to cease Bristol Airport operations

After much consideration, Flybe has come to the difficult decision that, with the exception of the long-established Jersey route, the airline will cease to operate from Bristol Airport.

Flybe announces completion of acquisition of BA connect

Flybe announces that it has completed the acquisition of BA Connect, the regional airline business of British Airways. Flybe’s acquisition of BA Connect (which does not include BA Connect’s London City or Manchester / JFK routes) creates a business with over £500m in revenues and which will fly nearly 10 million passengers once the transition is complete.
