Spanair has increased its flight offer between Barcelona and Algiers since the 8th June in view of the summer season, offering to its passengers six weekly flights between both cities, four additional frequencies than in 2007 summer season, when these flights started.
Spanair reaffirms its pledge to the Valencian Community by reinforcing its commitment towards these destinations, increasing by 13% its flights between Alicante and the cities of Barcelona and Madrid and offering more frequencies between Valencia and Madrid during the summer season; thereby consolidating its position as the top carrier for the Levante region.
Following the agreement signed in November, launching Spanair's mobile boarding service, Spanair and Vodafone have now extended their partnership to include spanair.mobi on Vodafone live! As part of its dedication to mobility services, Spanair has developed its spanair.mobi portal allowing accessibility from all mobile phones that have a direct internet connection.

Jerez de la Frontera is one of Spanair's key destinations. On its routes to and from Jerez de la Frontera, Spanair has the most extensive domestic flight network as well as being the second placed company in terms of passenger volume.
Spanair confirms that Scandinavia is one of its strategic destinations, and that it is the leading carrier in terms of the number of frequencies it operates between Copenhagen and Spain, respectively Stockholm and Spain together with its codeshare partner SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
Spanair's average punctuality rate was 90% in January 2008 while several days the company reached rates of above 95%. The average punctuality rate was above both Spanish Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat's airport average during this period.
Spanair is about to start auctioning flights on eBay.es, the biggest marketplace for buying and selling via the Internet in Spain. The initiative consists of an auction of up to 15 thousand flights to European and domestic destinations, including the Balearic and Canary Islands. As well as return flights, tickets may be bought only for one way.
With the launch of this new route, the company is increasing its direct flights from Spain to Germany offering excellent connection possibilities with its domestic network and intercontinental destinations via the Star Alliance network.
Following the great success of this system launched by Spanair in November 2007 at Bilbao airport on the Bilbao-Madrid route, the company is set to roll-out its pioneering mobile boarding card service for users at Madrid-Barajas - at Terminals 2 and 3 and at the airport's metro exit- as well as at El Prat Barcelona airport.
Spanair Cargo implements e-booking for Spanish customers. A password-protected site has been produced which make it possible for customers to book shipments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Spanair is strengthening its commitment to the Canary Islands, and will make almost three and a half million seats available this year to passengers travelling between the Canaries and mainland Spain, an increase of 17.4% compared to 2007.

Due to the success rate of the new routes connecting Madrid and Barcelona with Algiers, Spanair increases its flights to and from Spain's capital city, and to and from Barcelona, adding to the two weekly return flights started by the Company in July.

Spanair has annonced that after having signed an agreement with the majority of the Company's Cabin Attendants, as they informed last Friday, the flight schedule has now returned to normal.
Spanair have announced that they have last week, signed a Collective Agreement with CCOO, the Trade Union that holds the majority representation of the Company's Passenger Cabin Attendants. This agreement provides a legal, stable and long-lasting framework with regards to the posts and working conditions of the biggest employee group in the Company.

On May 10, Bilbao played host to numerous events to celebrate the launch of the Spanair route linking the Biscayan and Bavarian capitals, which was inaugurated on the 15th of April.
Spanair is continuing its international expansion with this new route which has been offering daily flights both ways between the cities of Munich and Bilbao since April 15. In addition to the route inaugurated on the 25th of March, between the cities of Pamplona and Madrid, which offers 3 daily flights from Monday to Friday, with times adapted to the needs of business passengers, and a weekend flight each-way, Spanair will be offering as from the 4th of May and the 6th of June, new routes between Pamplona and South Tenerife, and Pamplona and Palma de Mallorca, which will feature a weekly flight especially for leisure passengers.
From 25 March, Spanair will link the city of Pamplona with Madrid, offering 3 daily flights from Monday to Friday, with times adapted to the requirements of business travellers, and one weekend flight each-way.
On the 10th of April, Spanair will increase operations on the Madrid-Gerona route, launched on the 29th of January 2007, offering 3 daily weekday flights between the two cities, with times adapted to the requirements of business passengers. Likewise, the weekend service on this route is also being improved, with an increased Sunday service.
As part of its ongoing international expansion plan, on the 20th of May Spanair will launch 3 new routes, between Casablanca and Madrid, Algiers and Madrid and Algiers and Barcelona.
From the 1st of July this year, Spanair will have a new location at Terminal 2 in Madrid Barajas Airport. The new area will have exclusive check-in desks for Business Avant passengers, as well as more "easy check- in machines", and also a new Sales Office.
On the 29th of January, Spanair launched an innovative system that makes the booking of tickets on-line easier and quicker offering numerous advantages for the user of spanair.com. The new website is available in both Spanish and Catalan.
From the 1st of April, Spanair will continue with its international expansion by connecting the cities of Barcelona and Munich, initially offering one daily flight and then adding a second one from the 15th of April.
Spanair is adding a new frequency to their scheduled flights between Madrid and Copenhagen, with an offer of 3 daily services starting from the 13th of April - one in code share operated by SAS - between the two European capitals.
With the recent launch of the new route between Almeria and Madrid, the Company hopes to provide a service to 44 percent of Almeria airport's total traffic.
