Moving house doesn’t have to be stressful, as one couple who have moved to Taylor Wimpey’s Great Western Park development have found out.

Matthew and Jane Holbrow from Abingdon moved into their dream home last week on the popular Didcot development and have been pleasantly surprised at how smooth and easy their moving process has been.

Matthew explains: “We had been living in our two bedroom semi for over 20 years and had done everything to the house we possibly could. We had renovated the kitchen and bathroom, extended the drive, built a large conservatory and landscaped the garden. There really wasn’t anything else we could do to our existing home and decided it was time to move.

“We had heard of the new development in Didcot, so Jane and I visited the sales office one weekend and whilst looking at the development model; we spotted the perfect home for us. It was in an ideal location on a corner at the edge of the development.

“The sales team at Great Western Park were brilliant. We hadn’t moved in over 20 years so everything was new to us again. We used Taylor Wimpey’s Easymover scheme which was fantastic as we didn’t have to lift a finger, our house was sold quickly and we didn’t have to pay any agency fees!”

Taylor Wimpey’s Easymover scheme is designed to help home owners sell their existing home. A team of pre-selected estate agents will help you find a buyer within four weeks of going on the market and everything, including the bill, is sorted for you.

Matthew continues: “We couldn’t have asked for any more from Taylor Wimpey, the whole service has been fantastic. We absolutely love our house, it’s been so well finished and it’s literally like someone has built our perfect home, it has everything we need. We are really looking forward to spending our lives here.”

Located in the vibrant town of Didcot, there is a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs in close proximity to the development. Also, the popular Orchard Shopping Centre and Cineworld are less than two miles from Great Western Park.

Ideal for families, there are a variety of nurseries, primary schools and Didcot Girls School within two miles from the development as well as Oxford University just 10 miles away.

The development is in a perfect location for commuters with the A34, M4 and M40 all within easy reach as are key commercial centres such as Oxford, Newbury, Swindon and Reading. While Didcot Parkway railway station has regular services to London Paddington, with a journey time of around 40minutes.
