Kia’s Soul Train brings a party to town

4th June 2009 Print
Kia Soul Train The striking Kia Soul Train has hit the road and started its three month tour of the UK. The train, comprising a convoy of eight Kia Souls, will spread the fun and turn heads in each town it visits en route.

The Soul Train will drive for five days each week, dropping into various local events where the specially commissioned drivers-turned-singers will emerge, entertaining crowds with renditions of Soul classics. With the cars concluding as a display each Saturday at major shopping centres across the nation, audiences will be serenaded by a professional soul choir.

The cult Soul Burner will be accompanied by a homage to car movies with Kia Souls ‘dressed’ as Herbie, the legendary Gran Torino from Starsky & Hutch and the unforgettable General Lee from The Dukes of Hazard.

Simon Hetherington, Marketing Director Kia Motors (UK) Limited commented: “We are really excited to have the Train on tour. It represents what Soul is all about – quirky, fun and for the young at heart! Soul is the perfect response for those who want to lift their spirits and turn heads at the same time – its unique styling brings a smile to everyone who sees it and that can’t be a bad thing at the moment.”
