Leeds Diamond Saver account pays 2.65% with 100% access

1st May 2012 Print

Leeds Building Society's new Diamond Saver instant access account pays a highly competitive rate of 2.65% gross/ AER, and the Society is also targeting a £5,000 donation to charity.

Everyone who opens the account, which has been launched to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, will also receive a free jute bag. Furthermore, the Society will be supporting the Woodland Trust's Jubilee Woods Project by making a donation for the first 5,000 accounts opened.

The Diamond Saver account pays a variable rate of 2.05% gross/ AER, plus an additional bonus of 0.60% until 31st May 2013, giving a current interest rate of 2.65% gross/ AER. The minimum investment is £100, with a maximum investment of £20,000 (£40,000 for joint accounts).

Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society Sales and Marketing Director said, "This account offers unlimited, penalty free access along with a great interest rate. A current return of 2.65%, combined with the option to open and operate via branch, post and online, makes this product excellent value.

"We will also be supporting the Woodland Trust's Jubilee Woods Project, by making a £1 donation for each account opened. All customers who open an account will also receive a terrific eco-friendly jute bag.

"We expect the high rate combined with unlimited access to prove popular, and I would urge people to act quickly as this is a strictly limited issue."
