With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee just around the corner, developer Linden Homes has been turning its attentions to Royal residences in Longstanton of all places!

While the company has been building its own selection of family homes at the new St Michael’s Chase development – it has also been judging a creative new property portfolio designed by local schoolchildren.

Imaginative youngsters from the Over Primary School have been taking part in a competition to draw or paint a home fit for a Queen, as part of the area’s Jubilee celebrations.

The winners of the best three entries, judged by members of the Linden Homes sales team, were rewarded with book tokens and the school presented with an educational ‘story sack’ during a recent Well Done assembly.

Linden Homes sales manager Warren O’Callaghan said: “The school really embraced the theme and the entries were amazing, showing so much imagination that it was a tough task to pick just three winners.

“We would like to thank acting head teacher Stewart Debenham and the other teachers for their support and we hope the experience allowed the children to enjoy a different aspect of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.”

Mr Debenham added: “The children certainly let their creative juices flow and we’d like to thank Linden Homes for their community involvement and allowing the school to be part of such a fun project.”

A selection of three, four and five bedroom homes are currently available at St Michael’s Chase, with prices ranging from £217,500 to £499,995. The show home and sales and marketing suite are open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm.
