FirstBuy available with new homes in Andover

First-time buyers have just a few chances left to take advantage of FirstBuy at Taylor Wimpey’s The Romans at Augusta Park development of new homes for sale in Andover.
The Government-backed initiative is available now with selected two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, offering qualifying purchasers the chance to secure their ideal home in Andover for just 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit, subject to status.
For example, the three-bedroom ‘Denton’ semi-detached house in Andover can be secured by one fast-acting first-time buyer for 80% of its £190,000 price tag – that’s just £152,000, including a 5% deposit of only £9,500.
Tim Betts, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Thanks to FirstBuy, it’s now even easier for many first-time buyers to secure wonderful Taylor Wimpey houses and apartments in Andover.
“The fabulous ‘Denton’ house is one of the final properties in Andover up for grabs with FirstBuy at the development, so anyone hoping to step on the property ladder with a 5% deposit is urged to visit our Sales Information Centre as soon as possible.”
The ‘Denton’ features a light and airy lounge opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/dining room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.
Upstairs, the landing leads to the en-suite master bedroom, two further well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from allocated parking.
The two-bedroom ‘Benwell’ coach house at the development is also available under FirstBuy for 80% of its £160,000 price – that’s just £128,000, while three-bedroom ‘Hadrian’ houses, priced from £205,000, are available under the scheme from only £164,000.
FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey. The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.
Alternatively, three-bedroom ‘Richborough’ homes at The Romans at Augusta Park are priced from £221,995 and four-bedroom ‘Willowford’ properties are available from £274,995.
All homes at The Romans at Augusta Park are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.
The development enjoys a prime position to the north of Andover town centre. A new primary school, community centre, sports hall and playing fields are to be constructed alongside the homes, as well as employment areas which may include new local shops and leisure amenities.
Currently, a range of shops, including a supermarket, is within easy reach of the development, a choice of primary schools can be found within half a mile, while a good selection of secondary and further education is located in Andover.
Andover town centre is just over a mile from The Romans at Augusta Park, and home to the Chantry Centre for shopping, a cinema and a theatre, a leisure centre with pool and classes and activities for adults and children, plus a choice of gyms.
Commuters will appreciate that Andover railway station is also just a short distance from the development and provides regular services to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo, while the M3 and M4 are each within a 20-mile radius.
