Linden Homes' Kingston Mills shortlisted for prestigious award

Linden Homes is celebrating, following the announcement that its prestigious Kingston Mills development, in Bradford on Avon, has been shortlisted for a national award.
The unique waterside development, comprising luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom townhouses, has been recognised by the Housebuilder Awards for 2012 and shortlisted for Best Regeneration Project.
The site is rich in history: in the mid 19th century, the site was home to a woollen mill and, in 1848, became home to a rubber-works factory which eventually closed in 1992, leaving the site derelict.
The development, built on the River Avon, blends seamlessly with the historic town centre which dates from the seventh century*, offering both converted and new homes. The development also offers shops, restaurants and public open space.
Adrian Bird, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes Western, said: “I’m delighted that we have been shortlisted and hope to go one further and win the prestigious award, when it’s announced in November.
“This is fantastic recognition for all of the hard work carried out which has made Kingston Mills such a success. The development fits in perfectly with its impressive surroundings and offers brilliant transport links to Bath, Bristol and London.”
The Housebuilder Awards, on 8 November at the Tower Hotel, London, will be celebrating the best of the industry and recognising the achievements of those leading the way in innovation.
