Anyone for tennis in Morocco?

Enjoy tennis on the coast of Morocco

Fleewinter has introduced tennis breaks to its Rebali Riad complex in the village of Sidi Kaouki, 20 minutes’ drive south of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast of Morocco.

The excellent, hard surface tennis court was only completed in 2011 and proved so popular that it was decided to bring in a professional coach.

The special week-long tennis breaks cost from £595 pp (two sharing) which includes flights, private transfers, 7 nights’ B&B accommodation and 2-hours’ coaching on 5 of the 7 days.

Rebali is a Boutique Hotel comprising 6 individual Riads which provide all the advantages of a hotel combined with the privacy of a villa.

Traditional in design, the riads have modern touches such as remote-controlled glass sliding roofs. Although the riads are fully-equipped to the highest specification for self-catering, the complex also has its own on-site chefs, who can prepare meals and deliver them to the riads on request (at a supplement) for those who would rather let someone else do the cooking.

There are also swimming pools and a hammam (with bookable treatments – perfect for that post-tennis match massage).

There are plenty of activities to do in the area including camel picnics (90 minutes on a camel followed by a Berber picnic), horse riding, quad-biking, cookery lessons and watersports instruction (surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing etc.). All activities can be pre-booked with Fleewinter or arranged on site by the Rebali staff.

Staying in Sidi Kaouki provides the perfect, peaceful escape, but with Essaouira just 20 minutes away, the hustle and bustle of the souks and the restaurants can also be enjoyed – then left behind…

Although it is possible to book the larger riads by the room, groups of tennis-playing friends or families can take over an entire riad.
