With two new show homes now open, including one with a pirate themed bedroom, it’s plain sailing for home buyers who visit Abbotts Walk in Winchester.

The professionally styled and fully furnished three-bedroom Wickham and five-bedroom Buttercross show homes, enable visitors to appreciate the quality and finish of the designs and imagine themselves living in the style and comfort of a brand new Redrow home.

Potential purchasers eager to see inside the show homes have been flocking to the development and have been impressed by what’s on offer.

Mary Timlin, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), explains: “Buyers have shown a keen interest in Abbotts Walk since before the homes even went on sale. Now that we have show homes open we’ve seen an increase in visitors as people want to experience the whole ambiance of living in a Redrow home.

“Those who have already viewed the show homes have been wowed by the high specification interiors as well as the spacious layouts. Younger visitors have been won over by the pirate themed bedroom in the Buttercross show home, which includes treasure map wallpaper, skulls and cross bones on the bedding, a treasure chest and a mirror that looks like a porthole.”

One of the more unusual features of the Buttercross is the self-contained home office. With a kitchen area and WC included it provides a dedicate space to work away from the hustle and bustle of family living.

While the Buttercross is a substantial family home, with five bedrooms and a home office over the garage, Abbotts Walk features a wide variety of properties with two five-bedrooms.

Current prices start from £269,950 for a two-bedroom apartment, with two-bedroom semi-detached ‘Keats’ homes available from £284,950.

Located in Worthy Road, in the Abbotts Barton area, the homes enjoy a leafy setting close to the River Itchen. Residents can follow a footpath from the development along the river bank into Winchester, where they’ll find the famous cathedral, a good choice of restaurants, high street shops and schools.

Closer to home there’s a village shop to cater for residents’ daily needs, as well as a pub.

Abbotts Walk is within easy reach of the A34 and M3, plus Winchester train station is just over a mile away, making the homes a good base for commuters working in London or on the South Coast.

To experience all that a brand new Redrow home has to offer, visit Abbotts Walk, where the show homes are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
