Families looking for a home that offers a flexible solution to their living arrangements should look no further than the Village Green at Buckshaw Village near Chorley.

The Redrow development features a good choice of properties from the sought-after New Heritage Collection, including some designs set out over three floors.

To showcase the added dimension that three-storey homes can bring to family living, Redrow has opened the doors to finished examples of the Kensington and Kenilworth house types.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “Homes set out over three floors truly maximise the potential of the space available. The Kensington and Kenilworth are both very versatile and now that we have examples of both designs available for viewing buyers can appreciate the benefits of each and see which best suits their lifestyle.”

The Kenilworth is the more conventional of the two as the lounge, plus the open plan kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor, along with a laundry room and cloaks. There are three bedrooms and the family bathroom on the first floor. The crowning glory of the Kenilworth is the master bedroom, complete with en-suite.

“The master bedroom of the Kenilworth offers parents a retreat from the hustle and bustle of family living or could be used as a guest suite by those who perhaps don’t need all four bedrooms. Alternatively, the fourth bedroom could be utilised as a study or a toy room,” Claire added.

“The Kensington can also be adapted to suit different lifestyles. For example, the ground floor bedroom and WC/shower makes it perfectly suited to looking after an elderly relative or giving a grown-up child some space. Or if it’s not needed for sleeping it could be used as a play room.”

The main living space in the Kensington is on the first floor. This includes a spacious lounge that opens up onto either a terrace or into a sun room, plus an open plan kitchen dining area with French doors onto a Juliet balcony.

There are three bedrooms, including a master with en-suite, and the family bathroom on the second floor.

The Kenilworth is currently available from £174,995; while the Kensington is priced at £209,995.

To appreciate the different layouts, visit the Village Green at Buckshaw Village, where the homes are open for viewing Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
