The Canadian Rockies in Winter

For those who fancy sampling the winter wonderland scenery of the Canadian Rockies, North America specialist, Bon Voyage, has introduced a new fly-drive holiday taking in some of its finest alpine scenery and incorporating stays in Banff, Lake Louise and Calgary.
This 10-night trip – on offer in March and April (excluding Easter) – also includes a wealth of excursions including a helicopter flight over the Mount Assinboine Glacier, a guided ice walk through the Johnstone Canyon and guided snow shoeing to the Paint Pots, a mineral deposit that once provided Native Americans with pigments for rock painting.
Visitors also enjoy a sleigh ride through a breathtaking winter landscape and the leisurely itinerary ensures there’s plenty of relaxation time for soaking up the scenery and for wildlife viewing opportunities.
The twin share price of £2710 per person includes return flights from Heathrow, room-only four-star hotel accommodation – six nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, three nights at the Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel and one night at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel in Calgary – excursions as above and mid-size car hire for the duration of the holiday.
The going between destinations is easy – it’s around 33 miles from Banff to Lake Louise and 100 miles from Lake Louise to Calgary – on main roads kept free of ice and snow.
