A Government-backed incentive is offering aspiring homeowners fresh hope of securing their place at Taylor Wimpey’s The Romans at Augusta Park development of properties in Andover, Hampshire.

First-time buyers in Hampshire are being offered a welcome leg up on to the Andover property ladder – with the FirstBuy scheme now available at Taylor Wimpey’s The Romans at Augusta Park development.

This popular initiative means qualifying first-time buyers can secure selected three-bedroom new homes for sale in Andover for just 80% of their full price.

Under this superb scheme, the three-bedroom Plot 3 ‘Garsdale’ detached property for sale in Andover, priced £200,000, for example, can be purchased for an 80% FirstBuy price of just £160,000, including a 5% deposit as low as £10,000, subject to status.

FirstBuy offers the perfect solution for first-time buyers who would otherwise struggle to raise enough money for a deposit on their first property in Andover. It works through a 20% loan from Taylor Wimpey and the Homes and Communities Agency which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold, and is available to customers with a household income of £60,000 or less.

Tim Betts, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Hampshire, says: “The fabulous FirstBuy incentive is helping first-time buyers to step on to the property ladder much sooner than they might have otherwise thought possible, and it’s now available at The Romans at Augusta Park.

“However, this popular scheme is available with a strictly limited selection of new homes in Andover, so prospective purchasers hoping to secure their ideal first property using FirstBuy at the development should act quickly – before someone else beats them to it!”

The Plot 3 ‘Garsdale’ is a delightful three-bedroom detached property which features a light and airy living room and a large kitchen/dining room, both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, a double guest bedroom, a further bedroom which could alternatively be used as a study or nursery, and a main bathroom. Outside, the property benefits from a garage and driveway parking.

Alternatively, three-bedroom houses ready to reserve now at the development include the ‘Fulford’, priced from £200,000, the ‘Easedale’, priced from £210,000 and the ‘Crofton’ townhouse, priced at £220,000.

All new homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The Romans at Augusta Park enjoys a prime position to the north of Andover town centre. A new primary school, community centre, sports hall and playing fields are to be constructed alongside the homes, as well as employment areas which may include new local shops and leisure amenities.

Currently, there’s a range of shops, including a supermarket, within easy reach of the development, a choice of primary schools can be found within half a mile, while a good selection of secondary and further education is located in Andover.

Commuters will appreciate that Andover railway station is just a short distance from the development and provides regular services to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo, while the M3 and M4 are each within a 20-mile radius.

To stand a chance of securing their first home with FirstBuy at The Romans at Augusta Park, first-time buyers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Smannell Lane, Andover, SP11 6RD, and open seven days a week between 10am and 5pm.
