Be one of the first to view the stylish show home at Storey Homes’ Vulcan Rise development near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. This exclusive collection of 14, two, three and four bedroom properties will appeal to first time buyers, families and downsizers alike.

The show home has been designed by Voyage Interiors of Cambridgeshire. Managing Director, Chloe Kershaw comments: ‘In view of the variety of house designs available at Vulcan Rise, we were keen to create a show home which would appeal to a range of prospective purchasers, from first time buyer to families and those wishing to downsize. We chose a colour scheme that could be used throughout the house, without being over-powering. By using neutral tones combined with dark furniture we have achieved a contemporary home with stylish yet warm rooms.”

The stunning three bedroom show home has been designed to make the most of the living space and has been finished to a superb specification. The property has been decorated in a neutral colour scheme with accents of lime and aubergine, along with dark furniture to create a sleek and sophisticated home.

This spacious home boasts light and spacious lounge with bay window, open plan kitchen/dining area with fitted designer kitchen, A+ rated appliances and a breakfast bar area. All three bedrooms have been decorated and furnished to suit family requirements, although the third bedroom could be used as a study. The upstairs accommodation is completed by a superb family bathroom along with an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom. The guest bedroom features a bay window to maximise the light flowing through the room.

A feature of the properties at Vulcan Rise is the installation of air source heat pumps which extract heat from the outside air to heat radiators thus reducing the cost of fuel bills. As with all of the new homes, the property also features a garage and driveway.

Matthew Storey of Storey Homes comments: “This stunning development offers something for everyone, from beautiful homes for first time buyers available through FirstBuy, to large four bedroom family houses. There has already been a huge amount of interest in these properties and I would urge prospective buyers to come along and view the show home as soon as possible.”

Storey Homes is offering first time buyers the opportunity to get onto the property ladder with the Government backed Firstbuy scheme. FirstBuy enables buyers to purchase 80% of the full value of the property, and the remaining 20% is paid by a shared equity loan funded by Storey Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency. Buyers need to find a deposit of only 5% and take out a mortgage for the remainder of the property’s value. To be eligible for a FirstBuy loan, the applicant’s household must earn less than £60,000 per year and be unable to finance a property in the area where they currently live or work.

Vulcan Rise enjoys a picturesque location surrounded by stunning countryside and is located at Valiant Square, the previous development by Storey located on the former Ministry of Defence site at Ramsey. Valiant Square formerly provided accommodation for married officers serving at RAF Upwood, which originally opened in 1917, closed in 1995 and played a major role in the character and recent history of nearby Bury and Ramsey.

Situated about 20 minutes from the A1 running north and south and within 15 minutes of the A14 running east and west, residents have easy access to surrounding towns and villages. Huntington is around 20 minutes away and Peterborough can be reached in 25 minutes; both are served by mainline railway stations into London.

Prices at Vulcan Rise start from £179,950 for a two bedroom home, or £143,960 through FirstBuy. For more information and to book an appointment, visit storey-homes.co.uk
