Buy now to avoid the £25 a day price hike

With house prices set to rise by £45,000 in the next five years*, house hunters are encouraged to visit Taylor Wimpey’s Oxfordshire developments now to climb their way up the property ladder and avoid the hefty price increase.
Recent research has indicated that house prices are due to rise £25 per day over the next five years, forecasting the average property to be priced at £267,000 by 2018*. However, this news isn’t all doom and gloom for first time buyers as housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has a range of incentives to ensure first time buyers aren’t left out of pocket.
Darren McCormack, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, commented: “Although this is welcoming news for many homeowners, it will put extra pressure on first time buyers looking to save for a house deposit. Through Government backed schemes such as Help To Buy, house hunters only need a 5% deposit, which makes saving for a property a lot more affordable.
“There is never a bad time to buy a house as house hunters are now adding £750 a month to their property price every month they wait. We are encouraging all first time buyers, no matter what their situation to visit one of our popular developments this weekend and speak to our experienced sales team. You’ll be surprised at just how affordable buying a new home with Taylor Wimpey is.”
The new Help To Buy initiative is an equity loan scheme which is available on new build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the equity loan scheme, and it is available to both first time buyers and existing home owners alike. Eligible purchasers will receive a Government loan of 20%, which means that they only need to put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.
