Home-hunters are being offered a superb new opportunity to snap up a stylish waterside apartment for less at Taylor Wimpey’s Willow Lake development in Milton Keynes.

The Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme is now available at this sought-after development, enabling first and second time buyers to secure their new home for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit.

This means the stylish one-bedroom Plot 24 ‘Carlow’ apartment at Willow Lake with views of the beautiful Jubilee Lake, priced at just £133,000, is available under Help to Buy for an 80% shared equity price of just £106,400, including a deposit as low as £6,650!

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re delighted that we are now be able to offer the Government-backed Help to Buy shared equity scheme at Willow Lake, helping prospective buyers to make an affordable move to their dream Taylor Wimpey home, whatever their circumstances.

“We’re expecting the new Help to Buy initiative to be incredibly popular, as it will make a huge difference to both first and second time buyers who can afford the monthly repayments on a mortgage but not the hefty deposit, so I’d advise anyone hoping to take advantage of this incentive to act now – or risk missing out.”

The Help to Buy scheme involves a Government loan of 20% to eligible purchasers and is available on all new-build properties offered by Taylor Wimpey in the South Midlands region. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme, and it is available to both first-time buyers and existing home-owners alike.

The gorgeous one-bedroom Plot 24 ‘Carlow’ apartment features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with an attractive Juliet balcony, plus a well-proportioned bedroom, a bathroom and a storage closet off the internal entrance hallway. Outside, the property benefits from allocated parking.

Alternatively, spacious two-bedroom ‘Carlow’ apartment designs are priced from £161,000 and feature en-suite master bedrooms, plus private balconies to selected plots, while the two-bedroom ‘Brenig’ coach house-style apartment is priced at just £145,000. Three and four-bedroom houses are also available from £265,000.

All homes at Willow Lake are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Taylor Wimpey offers a range of helpful homebuyer incentives as alternatives to Help to Buy shared equity, including NewBuy, which gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home at Willow Lake with a 95% mortgage. Those with a property to sell, meanwhile, can benefit from Part Exchange or assistance with selling their old home under the easymover incentive.

Willow Lake will feature a range of facilities on the doorstep including a primary school, a park, a hotel and leisure amenities. A supermarket, nurseries and schools, and a choice of pubs and restaurants can be found nearby.

For commuters, the A5 and the M1 are just a few minutes’ drive from the development, while those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 25 miles away. Services from Bletchley railway station to Euston put central London just over an hour away by train.
