Home-hunters in Buckinghamshire looking for a peaceful place to call home are advised to take a closer look at Willow Lake, Taylor Wimpey’s stunning waterside development in Newton Leys, Milton Keynes.

At the heart of the development lies Jubilee Lake, and the area surrounding the water is being transformed into a tranquil public open space for the residents to enjoy.

Following landscaping work, trees and shrubs are being planted on the slopes between the water’s edge and the new homes, while the lake bed itself has been raised at the edges to create shallows which will be planted with reeds and provide a haven for wildlife.

A footpath along the northern edge of the lake could be open as early as summer, and will be complemented by a trail through the wooded area to the south of the lake – perfect for relaxing strolls.

What’s more, residents of Willow Lake’s ‘Carlow’ apartments can also enjoy the waterside setting from the comfort of their new homes, as many plots enjoy enviable vistas across the water!

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The scenic surroundings of the new homes at Willow Lake are really beginning to take shape as we progress with landscaping work to create picturesque areas of open space for the residents to enjoy.

“With such a stunning lakeside location, we don’t expect the stylish ‘Carlow’ apartments at the development to be available for very long, so I’d advise anyone hoping to find their dream home at Willow Lake to act now, or risk missing out.”

The one-bedroom ‘Carlow’ apartment, priced at £133,000, for example, features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with an attractive Juliet balcony, plus a well-proportioned bedroom, a bathroom and a storage closet off the internal entrance hallway. Outside, the property benefits from allocated parking.

Alternatively, spacious two-bedroom ‘Carlow’ apartment designs are priced from £161,000 and feature en-suite master bedrooms, plus private balconies to selected plots.

Meanwhile, beautiful three and four-bedroom houses at Willow Lake are on sale from £250,000. All homes at Willow Lake are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme is available now at Willow Lake, enabling first-time buyers and existing homeowners to purchase their new home for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit. The initiative involves a Government loan of 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home with a 95% mortgage.

Willow Lake will feature a range of facilities on the doorstep including a primary school, a park, a hotel and leisure amenities. A supermarket, nurseries and schools, and a choice of pubs and restaurants can be found nearby.

For commuters, the A5 and the M1 are just a few minutes’ drive from the development, while those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 25 miles away. Services from Bletchley railway station to Euston put central London just over an hour away by train.

To snap up a slice of lakeside living at Willow Lake, property-seekers should visit the Sales Centre, located at St Lucia Crescent, Newton Leys, off Drayton Road, Newton Longville (Sat Nav postcode MK17 0EE) and open daily between 10am and 5pm (1.30pm to 5pm on Mondays).
