Simple steps to a new home in Lancashire

Homeowners could master a quick and easy move to a brand new home in Lancashire with a visit to Buckshaw Village or The Chase at Walmer Bridge this weekend (June 8 & 9).

Redrow will help customers sell their existing property at market value so they’re free to move into a brand new Redrow home at the earliest opportunity.

Under the Mastermove scheme a tried and trusted local agent is instructed to market the customer’s home and Redrow will pay the selling fees.

To explain how the service works, Redrow is holding events at The Chase in Walmer Bridge near Preston on Saturday and at the exclusive Sandy Lane phase of Buckshaw Village on Sunday.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “Customers often think they need to have sold their current property before agreeing to buy somewhere new, but that’s not the case. We can help homeowners secure a buyer for the property they want to move from with our Mastermove service. It’s available not only to clients who need somewhere larger for their growing family, but also those who want to downsize now that the children have grown up and flown the nest.

“This weekend we will be giving visitors to The Chase and Sandy Lane a step by step guide to Mastermove, making it as simple and straight forward as possible.”

Under Mastermove, Redrow will arrange for the customer’s property to be valued and agree a selling price. The developer will then liaise with the chosen estate agent and monitor their ongoing performance. Once a sale is agreed and the customer purchases a brand new Redrow home their estate agent’s fees will be paid for them. All it takes is a small deposit, which will be refunded upon completion.

“The beauty of Mastermove is that the customer gets to sell their existing property on the open market and should be in a much stronger position when it comes to buying their new home,” Claire explained.

“They also get to enjoy all the fun of buying a new home while someone else takes care of the red tape associated with selling the one they’ve already got.”

And while Mastermove will assist those with a property to sell, other incentives are available to help get people moving. Customers could cut the initial cost of owning a brand new home by taking out an equity loan for up to 20% of the price through Help to Buy. Or buyers may opt to purchase with a 95% mortgage through the NewBuy initiative.

Between the various phases of Buckshaw Village there’s plenty of choice for homebuyers from two-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom substantial family homes with prices ranging from £99,996 to £524,995.

Over at The Chase there’s a selection of three and four-bedroom properties with prices from £189,995.

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era, homes at both locations look traditional from the outside. Inside, the properties are bright and modern with well equipped kitchens and sleek bathrooms and en-suites.

To discover how you could master a move to a brand new home with help from Redrow, visit The Chase this Saturday (June 8) or Sandy Lane on Sunday (June 9).
