Making a fresh start can be difficult, but for Mrs Olivia Hubbard moving from Lincolnshire to Taylor Wimpey’s Alver Village development couldn’t have been easier thanks to the housebuilder’s Part Exchange scheme.

Olivia comments: “After my husband died, I wanted to move closer to my family. I’d never arranged a move like this before by myself and the thought was quite overwhelming, but I needn’t have worried. Taylor Wimpey took care of everything. They contacted the agents to sell my home, but I still had the final say on who to instruct. My house was then sold within 24hours of the sign going up!

“The whole process from my first enquiry to moving in only took a few months. I needed to be near my family and buying with Taylor Wimpey meant I could do this as quickly as possible with all the support I could have hoped for.

“Both before and after I moved in, the sales executives were really helpful. Whenever I had a small snagging issue they arranged for it to be sorted. It was great to be able to pop in or pick up the phone whenever I needed help or advice.”

Fiona Creed, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, comments: “As Mrs Hubbard found, our Part Exchange scheme is ideal for those who want to move quickly. Not having to sell your home by yourself means you don’t have agency fees, you don’t face months on the market and most importantly you don’t have to worry. We arrange all the legalities and all you have to think about is packing up boxes and if there’s ever any problem we’re only a phone call away.”

Mrs Hubbard opted for The Moore house type which has three stories. The modern look of this property with its stylish features particularly impressed, but its size was more important, Olivia explains: “My new home is beautiful, there’s plenty of space for my large family, which is why I moved here – to be closer to them. I have two daughters, one son, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild and having three stories is ideal as I use the top floor as dedicated guest room/ suite.”

“I would certainly recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone thinking of buying a new home. If you can’t face the thought of selling up for pastures new with all it involves, you’ll appreciate the level of service you receive. Without Taylor Wimpey I would have struggled to make this move happen and I’m grateful that they made it such a quick and easy process.”
