Morris Homes has launched its long-awaited new development on Stanhill Road in Oswaldtwistle.

Peel Fold will be a select development of just 36 three and four-bedroom homes, many of which are built from local stone to complement the surrounding countryside.

In the first weekend of sales, four homes were purchased, with three of the four buyers taking advantage of the Help to Buy scheme. Morris is also releasing more plots for sale this weekend following the success of the opening weekend.

Prices of the new homes start from £174,750 and local buyers will benefit from the Government’s new Help to Buy initiative.

The new scheme is designed to support buyers of new homes by supporting them with their deposit. The buyer only needs five per cent of the value of the home as a deposit, and the Government provides a further 20 per cent as an interest free loan.

With a combined deposit of 25 per cent buyers can access a range of mortgages with better interest rates and cheaper monthly payments.

Regional sales director for Morris, Chris Minshall, said: “We’ve has an unprecedented level of interest in the homes at the Peel Fold development and a very busy opening weekend.

“Peel Fold offers buyers stunning views of the local countryside, while being conveniently located for commuters to Blackburn, Burnley and Manchester.

“The Government’s Help to Buy scheme makes it even easier for buyers to get onto the property ladder, and all properties will be available under the initiative.”

Morris is also teaming up with local estate agents and contributing £1,500 towards agent fees to assist buyers with a property to sell.

The sales office at Peel Fold, Stanhill Road, Oswaldtwistle, BB5 4PP, is open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm, except Tuesday and Wednesday.
