PB Sport is encouraging young people to get involved in sport by becoming the autumn term 2013 prize sponsor for the Sainsbury’s School Games Reward and Recognition Scheme.

The sportswear manufacturer has been approached by Youth Sport Trust to become one of the sponsors for the Reward and Recognition scheme aspect of the Sainsbury’s School Games - a programme which involves a series of multi-sports events for young people all over the country. It is donating £5,000 worth of sportswear as the Reward and Recognition prize for the autumn 2013 term.

As part of their ongoing work encouraging young people to take part in more competitive sport, School Games Organisers work with schools to ensure the competition, through the Sainsbury’s School Games is at the heart of school life. The efforts of the most successful School Games Organisers will then be rewarded the PB Sports prize; sportswear to donate to the school of their choice.

The winning school will then be able to design a unique kit working with PB Sport’s in-house design team.

The Sainsbury’s School Games is set across four levels and is backed by National Lottery funding from Sport England. It is fully inclusive and will increase the opportunities for young people to take part in sport across the school year.

The Sainsbury’s 2013 School Games is supported by a range of partners including the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, Sport England, Youth Sport Trust, Department of Health and ParalympicsGB.
Steve Hopkins, sales and marketing manager at PB Sport, said: “We’re delighted to have been invited by Youth Sport Trust to sponsor the Sainsbury’s School Games Reward and Recognition Scheme.

“PB Sport is a new sportswear brand launched by school uniform manufacturer Price and Buckland. In-house designers can create a kit specifically for schools and sports clubs from over 320 colour combinations. Then, by adding in the club or school name, a unique brand is developed.”

The PB Sport kit has also been made with breathable fabric to transfer moisture away from the skin, so the wearer is drier and more comfortable.

There is a full range of kit available from PB Sport including polo shirts, tracksuits and training tops to football and rugby shirts, shorts and bags.
