Visitors came in their droves to The Chariots at Augusta Park, Taylor Wimpey’s popular development in Andover, Hampshire, for the official opening of a stunning new show village.

Discerning home-hunters who attended the launch event were the first to view the wonderful three-bedroom ‘Flatford’ and ‘Kirkstone’ showhomes and the impressive four-bedroom ‘Shelford’, while enjoying delicious refreshments.

They were also able to take part in an exciting virtual chariot racing challenge via the Circus Maximus video game!

Fiona Creed, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We were delighted with the fantastic turnout at the launch of our fabulous new show village at The Chariots.

“Our showhomes have been designed with modern family lifestyles firmly in mind and help potential purchasers visualise the life they could be enjoying in a typical Taylor Wimpey home at The Chariots.

“Visitors who took a tour of the showhomes were impressed by the spacious layouts and exquisite interior design of these wonderful properties – and our virtual chariot racing challenge was also a big hit!”
The ‘Flatford’ features a spacious living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside, there’s a garage and additional parking. Homes of this design are currently available from £208,000 at The Chariots at Augusta Park.

Meanwhile, the ‘Shelford’ housetype is priced from £305,000 and boasts a wonderful kitchen/dining room with doors to the garden, a lounge, a study and a guest cloakroom on the ground floor, while the first floor comprises four bedrooms, one with en-suite shower facilities, and a main bathroom.

There’s also a choice of alternative home designs currently available to reserve at The Chariots, including two-bedroom coach house-style apartments from £165,000.

The Government’s new Help to Buy scheme is available at the development, which means first-time buyers and those looking to move on from their existing property can secure their new home for 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%.

Alternatively, the NewBuy initiative enables credit-worthy homebuyers in a range of circumstances to access their choice of plots with a 95% mortgage.

The Chariots at Augusta Park enjoys a prime position to the north of Andover town centre, with a new primary school, community centre, sports hall and playing fields to be constructed alongside the homes.

Andover railway station is a short distance away for regular services to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo, while the M3 and M4 are each within 20 miles.

To experience a glimpse of the wonderful lifestyle opportunities at The Chariots, property-seekers can visit the Sales Information Centre and show village, located off Icknield Way, Andover, and open daily from 10am to 5pm (Mondays from 1pm to 5pm).
