Homeowners in Wiltshire who had thought they couldn’t afford to make the next step up the property ladder – or who are struggling to sell their existing property – can find out how Taylor Wimpey can help them get moving.

A special Second-Time Buyer Event is taking place at the leading housebuilder’s Heyworth Heights development in Highworth on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August, when visitors will be able to enjoy champagne and strawberries while they find out more about the host of helpful homebuyer incentives Taylor Wimpey has to offer.

The Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme, for example, enables those looking to move on from an existing property, as well as first-time buyers, to purchase their new home for 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home with a 95% mortgage.

Alternatively, those looking to avoid the stress and hassle of selling their old place can take advantage of Taylor Wimpey’s easymover or Part Exchange schemes.

Visitors to the event will also be able to visit the stunning four-bedroom ‘Shelford’ showhome, which gives a glimpse of the high-quality finish they can achieve with a brand new home at Heyworth Heights.

Darren McCormack, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “There’s a host of ways in which we can assist second-time buyers to make that all-important next step up the property ladder, whether they need to move to provide extra space for a growing family or have simply outgrown their first home.

“Experts will be on hand at the Second-Time Buyer event at Heyworth Heights with all the details potential purchasers need to get moving – plus they’ll be able to look around our stunning showhome and find out about the wonderful range of family-size properties available at this sought-after development!”

There’s a superb selection of homes currently available at Heyworth Heights, including three-bedroom properties from £210,000, four-bedroom detached houses from £250,000 and five-bedroom detached designs from £360,000.

Help to Buy involves a Government loan of up to 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000, with no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

Under easymover, Taylor Wimpey helps existing homeowners find a buyer for their old property in just a few weeks, and can even cover the cost of estate agency fees, while Part Exchange sees customers receive a fixed price for their existing home, based on the average of independent valuations.

Heyworth Heights enjoys a peaceful setting on the edge of the hill-top town of Highworth, which lies at the gateway to the Cotswolds and boasts elegant Queen Anne-style architecture and impressive Georgian buildings.

Highworth is a thriving town, with a good choice of shops, pubs and places to eat as well as a wide range of amenities for day to day life, and a busy social calendar with societies and sports clubs. Families will also appreciate the choice well-regarded schools for children of all ages within the town.

Meanwhile, all the shops, leisure and entertainment facilities of Swindon town centre are just seven miles from home.

Those looking to move up the property ladder at Heybury Heights can attend the Second-Time Buyer Event on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August from 10am to 5pm at the development, located in Pentylands Lane, Highworth, Wiltshire, SN6 7JY. Alternatively, the Sales Information Centre is open daily between the same times (Mondays 1pm to 5pm).
