Final Farnborough apartments prepare for take off

Apartments at Farnborough Central have been a soaring success and with a new phase soon to launch, buyers are being urged to add their names to the waiting list.
Potential purchasers have been registering their interest in the new apartments, known as Wessex Court, since the end of last year. Now, with interest rates predicted to stay low for at least three more years, mortgages at the most affordable for 14 years and the availability of Help to Buy, Redrow is anticipating demand for the homes to go through the roof.
Julie Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Southern Counties), says: “Apartments at Farnborough Central have always had a tendency to fly out and in just 12 months we sold out at both Vulcan Court and Lincoln Court. Those who missed out on the earlier phases have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Wessex Court, which we’ll be releasing for sale at the end of September. Several enquiries have come from people who already own at least one of our apartments and are keen to invest in another, plus would-be homeowners who have been saving for a deposit and now have the funds to secure their first home.
“With various banks, analysts and industry bodies all being optimistic about the housing market and its recovery, mostly pointing to the affordability of mortgages, low interest rates and Help to Buy, its boosting consumer confidence. Based on our previous success here, we would encourage buyers to get their names on our database as soon as possible. This is our final phase, so once they’re gone, they’re gone; those who wait could miss out.”
Apartments at Wessex Court will boast the same high specification and quality finish that made previous phases of Farnborough Central so popular. Home essentials including top brand name kitchen appliances such as fridge freezer, oven, hob and extractor plus washer-dryer will be fitted as standard; while bathrooms will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.
The apartments are being built on the historic site of the former Royal Aircraft Establishment, with some homes enjoying views over the open space of the airfield.
There’s wealth of amenities nearby at IQ Farnborough, including a cafe, crèche, four-star hotel and leisure complex. Farnborough Central train station, just two miles away, offers journey times to the capital of around 45 minutes, making this a great base for commuters.
