Part exchange to a new home at Buckshaw Village

Growing consumer confidence is fuelling more people to put their homes on the market, according to surveyors.

With the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors reporting a marked increase in new instructions last month, Redrow is offering to help homeowners sell up without getting entangled in a complicated chain and avoiding estate agent’s fees.

Instead they can use part exchange for a quick and simple move to Redrow’s Sandy Lane development at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley.

To explain how part exchange works Redrow is holding a special event at Sandy Lane this Sunday (September 22).

Part exchange specialists from The Property Perspective will be on hand from 11am to 4pm to answer questions and arrange valuations.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “Despite August traditionally being a quieter time for the housing industry, RICS reported that more people put their houses on the market last month than in July. This reflects the increase in enquiries we’ve received recently from those who are looking to climb the housing ladder to a bigger, better, brand new home.

“People tend to think that they have to sell their current property before committing to buy somewhere new, but that isn’t always the case. We’re inviting homeowners to join us at Sandy Lane on Sunday to discover how part exchange could help them move quickly, simply and without complicated chains to hold them back. Those who attend the event could even receive an offer on the property they want to sell within 48 hours and move as soon as their new home is ready.”

Generally speaking, to take advantage of part exchange, customers must be selling a property that’s worth a minimum of 35% less than the home they want to buy. If the price differential is suitable, Redrow will act as cash buyer and work with them to make their move stress-free.

Sandy Lane offers a choice of large and luxurious four and five-bedroom homes from the sought-after Heritage Collection with current prices from £359,995 to £499,995.

A four-bedroom Balmoral is ready to move into and priced at £389,995. It’s a substantial, double fronted detached property, designed with family living in mind.

The Balmoral enjoys a convivial layout with a real sense of flow as double doors lead from the lounge through to the open plan kitchen and dining room. There’s a utility room to keep the washer and dryer out of the kitchen, plus a downstairs cloakroom; while a study provides a quiet space where parents and children alike can work away from the hustle and bustle of family life.

Upstairs, two of the four bedrooms benefit from en-suites to complement the family bathroom.
