House prices are at a five-year high and with predictions of further rises, now could be the time to buy.

Figures from the Halifax show that average prices are at their highest since September 2008 following nine consecutive months of increases.

And with economists forecasting that prices will continue to rise for the next five years buying now could be seen as a shrewd move.

Handy then that the Home Buyers Show is bringing together a range of the homes and help available across Lancashire and Greater Manchester all under one roof at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton this Saturday (October 12).

Among those playing a leading role both as an exhibitor and contributor is award-winning housebuilder Redrow Homes.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn about Redrow developments across the region, including those in Chorley, Preston, Wigan, Ormskirk, North Manchester, Rochdale and the Fylde, plus the various incentives available to make buying a brand new home simple and straight forward.

There’s even the chance for would-be homeowners to work out just how much they can spend on a new home using Redrow’s quick and easy touch-screen ‘deposit calculator’. It will even identify which style of property they could buy and where in the north west they can find it.

Redrow sales director Claire Jarvis will be taking part in seminars, answering would-be home owners’ questions alongside legal experts and mortgage specialists.

“With so much positive news about the housing market and various industry experts, mortgage lenders surveyors and economists all pointing to signs of recovery, more people are starting to think about buying. The Home Buyer Show is an excellent opportunity to engage with those people and we’re delighted to be involved with the event,” Claire says.

“I’ll be at the show along with our friendly, experienced sales consultants, introducing people to the wide range of homes we have available across the region and how incentives can help make dreams of buying a brand new home a reality.

“Our deposit calculator should make it easy for them to work out what they can afford to buy and where, whether it’s a first time buyer property in Moston or a £1.25 million luxury villa on the Fylde Coast. Our mortgage specialist will then be able to give them more detailed information on the mortgage products available to them, as well as schemes like the Government backed Help to Buy.”

To use the deposit calculator to work out what you could potentially afford to spend on a new home, for details of the homes available or to find out more about Help to Buy and other help schemes, visit the Redrow stand at the Home Buyer Show this Saturday (October 12).
