A new bridleway has been officially opened as part of the development of new homes by Taylor Wimpey at Crookham Park in Church Crookham, Hampshire.

The purpose-built bridle path runs 1.4km from Tadpole Lane through to Ewshot Lane via Naishes Lane, crossing an area of former MoD land which is being enhanced for recreational use for the local community as a Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space (SANGS).

Landscape contractor ALS Group, which has been appointed to manage the SANGS Project, carried out the construction of the new three-metre wide route, which involved laying a mix of new surfaces, with hard and soft sections, through fields and over the existing woodland floor avoiding disturbing established tree roots.

The project also included the construction of post and rail fencing and special horse and rider holding gates at each end of the bridleway to allow for safe exit onto the roads.

Emma Jones, Regional Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re delighted the new bridleway has been officially opened, as it’s a key part of the SANGS Project which is also creating new footpaths, trails and cycle paths to open up the area for local people to enjoy.

“The site covers approximately 200 acres of woodland and meadow and is a wonderful natural amenity for people choosing to make Crookham Park their home.”

There’s a superb selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available at Queensacre at Crookham Park, priced from £168,000.

The Queensacre Sales Information Centre is located off Sandy Lane, Church Crookham, GU52 8LH, and open daily between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
