Awards success for popular Farnborough apartments

Buyers are winging their way to Farnborough Central where Redrow has won an award for its stylish range of apartments.
The popular development, close to Farnborough town centre, in Hampshire, was Highly Commended in the ‘best development multiple units’ category of the UK Property Awards.
It was one of eight awards for Redrow at a prestigious ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in London.
But it’s not just the UK Property Awards’ judges who have given the apartments high scores, they’re also proving popular with buyers.
In the first month alone six apartments have been sold in the latest phase, known as Wessex Court.
Julie Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Southern Counties), says: “It’s a double celebration for Farnborough Central. The new phase is off to a flying start and has attracted owner-occupiers and investors, including some repeat customers, who have been keen to snap up a new home at the earliest opportunity.
“We’re also delighted that our redevelopment of part of the world-famous former Royal Aircraft Establishment has been recognised in the UK Property Awards. The awards success sends a positive message out to prospective customers about what they can expect from Redrow and reassures existing homeowners that they have invested wisely.”
Farnborough Central is one of the most ambitious and architecturally impressive developments within the Redrow portfolio. The company’s design team worked hard to reflect and echo the rather unusual characteristics of the site.
All of the buildings have an unmistakable ‘Art Deco’ influence and there’s a mix of historic conversions and new-build apartments alongside contemporary townhouses.
Wessex Court marks the final chapter in the success story that is Farnborough Central. Based on the popularity of previous phases, Redrow is anticipating that the apartments will continue to fly out and is encouraging potential purchasers to act fast to avoid disappointment.
“Wessex Court will comprise just 53 apartments and is our last phase at Farnborough Central, so once they’re gone they’re gone,” Julie adds.
“As with previous phases, the apartments are appealing to a cross section of buyers thanks to a winning combination of a high specification and a prime location. People love the fact that we include so much as standard, such as fridge freezer, oven, hob and extractor plus washer-dryer. There’s a wealth of amenities at nearby IQ Farnborough, including a cafe, crèche, four-star hotel and leisure complex. The local train station is just two miles away, offering journey times to London of around 35 minutes making it a great base for commuters.”
One-bedroom apartments are available from £174,950, with two-bedroom designs priced from £214,950.
