BBC Three commissions new dating show Sexy Beasts
BBC Three has commissioned Lion TV’s entertainment team (Playing It Straight, World Series Of Dating, Officially Amazing) to make a broadcast pilot of a brand-new dating show called Sexy Beasts.
The show, which will transmit around Valentine’s Night, will take a sideways and often surprising look at the world of dating, investigating the differences between emotional and physical attraction for both men and women. In a world where people now look for love using dating sites and often base their decision simply on the way someone looks, this show explores if true love can blossom based just on character alone.
Alan Tyler, Executive Editor, Entertainment Commissioning, says: "The show promises a completely unique take on dating. Both funny and insightful, we are looking forward to bringing a twist to Valentine's Day."
Simon Welton, Lion Television Entertainment Executive, says: “We’re excited about this new format which takes dating decisions to a whole new level.”
Sexy Beasts is a Lion Scotland TV production commissioned by Zai Bennett, Controller BBC Three and Alan Tyler, Executive Editor, Entertainment Commissioning. Executive Producers are Simon Welton and Bill Hobbins.
